YOUR SUPPORT
A named CostPro Counsellor, and a Supervisor on structured training routes

A structured route to chartership

The programme gives each candidate a named CostPro Counsellor from enrolment to final assessment. On the structured training routes, CostPro also acts as Supervisor. Candidates follow a clear series of sessions, reviews and checkpoints, set to the rules of their RICS route.
Candidates record their competencies, submission and CPD on the RICS Assessment Platform, which remains the official record. Our programme does not replace it. It plans the work, tracks progress, and records Counsellor review and sign-off at each stage.

What the programme includes

A named Counsellor

A CostPro consultant who has completed the RICS Counsellor Module and supports the candidate throughout.

Regular reviews

Scheduled reviews of experience, competencies and CPD, with written actions after each one.

CPD checkpoints

Clear CPD targets, checked at set points, so there are no surprises at submission.

Submission readiness

A full compliance check of word counts, case study dates, the Professionalism module, CPD, proposers and fees.

Interview preparation

A mock final assessment, a revision session before the interview, and a debrief afterwards.

Support if referred

A structured action plan to prepare for reassessment.

Your own work, certified

RICS does not permit generative or agentic AI to be used to produce APC submission content, and checks every submission for plagiarism and AI use. Our Counsellors must certify that each submission is the candidate's own work. The programme builds this into every written assignment and into the Counsellor's declaration.
THE DECLARATION ON EVERY WRITTEN ASSIGNMENT
I confirm that this submission is my own work. I have not used generative or agentic artificial intelligence (AI) tools to produce any part of its content.

For employers

Organisations can enrol a cohort of candidates and see their progress in one place. We agree the scope, routes and number of candidates with you before enrolment.

Questions candidates and employers ask

Can I enrol online?

No. The programme commits a CostPro Counsellor to each candidate for up to 24 months, so we start with a conversation and enrol candidates ourselves.

Does the programme replace the RICS Assessment Platform?

No. Candidates still record their competencies, submission and CPD there. Our programme supports and tracks that work.

What is the difference between a Counsellor and a Supervisor?

A Counsellor oversees the candidate's progress and certifies they are ready for assessment. A Supervisor oversees day-to-day training on the structured training routes. On those routes CostPro can act as both.

Which pathway do you support?

Quantity Surveying and Construction.

What if I need adjustments for my assessment?

Please contact us directly by email or phone. We do not collect this information through the Academy.
